My Last Dime Gourmet, Inc. has humble and
inspiring beginnings. It’s a story that proves that dreams really
do come true. Guenet “Gigi” French is the President of My Last
Dime Gourmet, Inc. and the creator of the award winning GiGi's Sweet
Heat Mango Lavender Habanero Sauce and Raspberry Chipotle Marinade &
BBQ sauce. These sauces were born in Gigi’s own home kitchen.
Gigi’s passion for all-natural and organic foods began out of
necessity when she learned that her family suffered from food
allergies. The stay-at-home mom was forced to cook almost
everything from scratch and eliminate store bought foods. In the
process, she became an expert food label reader. That’s when she
realized how many chemicals, additives and preservatives we ingest
everyday… not knowing what they are and what they do to us. At that
pivotal moment, Gigi and her family decided to keep their food free
of chemicals.
Gigi began to get creative in her kitchen,
experimenting with bold and exotic recipes borrowing from her
childhood experience with hot and spicy foods. The key for Gigi was
finding the perfect balance between the heat from the peppers and
the sweetness from tropical exotic fruits.
It was then that her entrepreneurial spirit took
over. Borrowing a page from her past life in corporate America, and
her education (a Masters Degree in Healthcare/Business
Administration), Gigi set off to pursue a lifelong dream of starting
her own business. My Last Dime Gourmet, Inc, was born! As Gigi got
started to set her products apart, the accolades and awards (please
link to awards page) started pouring in for her tiny start-up
company. The stay-at-home mom watched as a tiny idea blossomed into
a thriving business.
The
same commitment to eliminate questionable ingredients from her
